trade credit policy for used books at biblion

Most of our books come from people who visit us, whether every week or once a year. Walking biblion’s stacks gives you a great feel for our community.

Here’s how our trade credit policy works:

• books are reviewed by appointment with Jen Mason only for first time (once established, you can drop off anytime - though if you want an immediate credit, make an appointment);

• initial appointments may be made by emailing Jen at biblion at comcast dot net.

• client receives store credit for half of what biblion will sell their books for;

• store credit may be applied toward the purchase of used books, up to 50% of their price, with the other half paid by cash/charge/gift certificate (we need some currency, too, since the Lewes Board of Public Works won’t accept lovely used  books for our electric bill);

• please note that because we are such a small shop, we must be unusually selective in what books we can choose at any given time – our non-acceptance of your volumes is no reflection of their intrinsic value – we love all books and want them to find good homes.
